Goals: For each student to learn to read and play "finger hole" notation compositions as well as create and play their own songs on the flute.

Benefits: As the students explore their imagination through creating melodies on this ancient instrument, they will be amazed at what they can do with just one simple lesson! This experience can result in a strong sense of accomplishment and increased self esteem, without needing to know anything about music. They will also have a new tool for self calming and pure joy! With some diligent practice, almost ANYONE can learn to play this beautiful instrument and enjoy this transformative and therapeutic experience.

Fees:

Single workshop of 3 hours is  $144-$172/student, which includes a  6-hole cedar flute and an instructional CD and booklet.  Outside of the Tucson, AZ area this workshop is $198/student.  For classes of 15 or more, I will travel to any of the continental US states.

Workshop includes traditional stories and some Native American history centered on musical instruments. Students will also receive copies of several songs to practice with.

Series of 4, 2 hour workshops is $249/student which also includes the 6-hole cedar flutes  an instructional CD and booklet.

Workshop includes traditional stories and more in depth Native American history and culture centered on the Native Flute.  Students will also receive copies of several songs to practice with as well as learn a variety of fingering and breathing techniques to enhance their skills.

Set up requirements: Enough space for chairs in circle for all students. Enough chairs for each attending student and instructor. Small table for flutes/song sheets/etc.
